Sauna in the Garden

An immersive experience in nature.

Why Sauna in the Nature?

The heat and relaxation of a Sauna can help to reduce feelings of stress and anxiety, promoting a sense of calm and well-being. Since the Sauna is outside, the visitors receive not only the benefits of hot/cold healing, but also the benefits of Forest bathing. A study published in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health found that spending time in a forest environment resulted in a significant decrease in participants' heart rate, blood pressure, and sympathetic nervous system activity, indicating a relaxation response. Sauna bathing has said to improve cardiovascular health, memory, longevity, down regulates the nervous system, reduces pain and stiffness, and many more. Finland is the leading country who is conducting research into the benefits of Sauna use.

Partnered Events in the Garden

Immersing oneself in Sauna is an ancient practice of purification, detoxification, cleansing, and solidarity. This dates back thousands of years among cultures on all Continents. The feelings of isolation, depression and stress have been said to be alleviated by Sauna.

As a way to support the community, we’ll plan 3 collaborative events with local Djs, bakers, Ayurvedic practitioners, massage therapists, tarot readers, mediums, specialists in social emotional learning, locally made popsicles, and more! Part of the proceeds will be gifted back to Haskell Garden.
