Health

Kayla is a Registered Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist, Energy & Sound Medicine practitioner, and HeartMath mentor. She focuses on the client's health rather than its pain. This approach creates strength and balance in the client’s nervous system. Scientists have confirmed that our anatomy is a direct expression of our daily habits, thoughts and emotions. Orienting to the inherent rhythmic respiration of the client’s body can help them adapt to and recover from adversity.

Magnify

Magnification has been said to help relieve:

  • back, neck, head, and sacrum pain/soreness

  • stress, anxiety, confusion, loneliness

  • chronic fatigue

  • immune challenges

  • PMS, IBS, TMJ

  • Nerve damage

  • deep tension

  • Pre and Post pregnancy: Placenta Privia, Breech baby

  • Loss of smell and taste due to COVID-19

  • Fibromyalgia

  • Brain and Spinal Cord Injuries

Magnification is a healing modality that supports the craniosacral system. The craniosacral system is comprised of the cranium, spine and sacrum. This is all connected to the dura mater, which is the body’s deepest fascia and is hydrated by the cerebral spinal fluid which creates a stable slow pulse. Kayla uses a technique which magnifies this low pulse (known as the client’s primary respiration). This entails around 25-100 second cycles of inhalation and exhalation with the client. Although it may seem that this respiration is just the lungs it isn't. It is also for the tissue, fluid and vital bodies. During and/or after this magnification a client may feel a calm nervous system, timelessness, clarity, focus, higher cognition, and a release of aches and pains.

Reorient

In reorientation the client’s system learns how to reorient back to health and joy after a challenging situation. This can be done by creating an environment that strengthens the social nervous system also known as the Poly Vagal Theory which results in oxytocin production in the brain. Oxytocin is a neurochemical/neurotransmitter that reverses stress responses back to relief and calmness. This easily digested article written by Linda Graham is an incredible resource that outlines the benefits of producing oxytocin by means of the social nervous system.

How to prepare?

Think comfort. Wear cozy clothes. You’ll be resting on a massage bed with blankets and pillows. Kayla will massage your feet and face with warm oil and apply light touch to your body. The outcome of the session is dependent upon the intention. You’ll probably leave the session either fully energized for a night out or ready for a deep sleep.
